Committee & Volunteers

The Committee meets periodically in order to review the activities of the Archives, collaborate with other local history organizations, and raise awareness within the community. These meetings are announced in advance and open to the public. The Committee normally has about a dozen members.

Many committee members also serve as volunteers, assisting at the Archives during open hours or working independently on projects conducted elsewhere (e.g. photography, oral history, field surveys, and joint projects with other entities). Conversely, some volunteers choose not serve on the Committee.

Both committee members and volunteers must complete the town's Volunteer Form. Please indicate whether you are interested in a committee appointment (as space allows), a volunteer position, or both. If you are unfamiliar with the Archives, we encourage you to schedule a visit so that you can learn more about our ongoing projects and see how they might match your interests and availability.
